M1s 12-0 Clwb Hoci Eirias 3
Sunny start in Wrexham for this one. Wrexham started with a lot pressing from the front. Short corner goal from Nath Samuels in the first three minutes set the tone. Chance after chance. Another rifled goal for Iwan. There was a bit of drama as Iwan went in for a tackle, clash of sticks and bounced up and cut his eye. He left the game with Wrexham at 10 men. But that didn’t stop Matthew Scoop Whelan scoring twice. Even his own Captain stopped one of his shots from going in. Damon Smith got on the act with a goal. And the best goal of the half coming from Nath Samuels, triangles in the area from a short corner and he found an empty part of the net. 6-0 at halftime.
Spirits were high, and Wrexham wanted a big goalline to be able to chase Bangor. That they did. Rich Read with a classic shot into the corner. Smith and Samuels scored another 2 making their hattricks. Whelan scored another for 6 in the second half. Only other drama was when Dan Thomas who’s not scored for a number of years had one heroically saved off the line by their defender.
Motm: Whelan. Steely in the midfield and clinical in front of goal.
Dotd: Nath Samuels. Despite scoring 3, not bringing half his kit and hungover (again).
x4, Nath Samuels x3, Iwan, Damon Smith x3, Rich Read
