Macclesfield made the trek to Wrexham today in an attempt to secure their promotion for this season.
The first half started with a quick goal from Macclesfield, passing across the D with a raised deflection. Wrexham didn’t let their heads drop and ruffled Macclesfield’s feathers by fighting back to win a short corner and scored a great goal from Delyth Hughes.
More attempts came from great passing between Rach Dathan and Helen Roberts and some great runs from Emily Preston and Cara Puvogel.
The first half was end to end action with multiple attempts on either goal but no dice for either team.

The second half was a great show of hockey from both teams with strong transfers around the back between Claire Harvey, Raz Whittaker, Del Hughes and Helen Bainbridge.
A second Wrexham goal came from another short corner strike from Delyth Hughes.
Wrexham’s third goal was all Phoebe Pemberton, she ran the ball on a banana run around multiple Macclesfield players before slotting the ball into the goal on the near post.
A fantastic game with a brilliant performance by Wrexham, giving Macclesfield their first loss of the season!
