Neston Development 6-0 MDVLP
Welcome to our final away game of the season at Neston on a bright and sunny day. Neston started the game with passing around the back into the midfield but with a great interception from Aaron than into Steve who made a great pass into Simon in the d than turned, had a shot for only to hit a foot for a short corner. The short was taken by Will C who just put it wide of the goal. As the game progressed neston grabbed a couple of quick fire goals one from a short and one from open play in Wrexham’s d making it 2-0. Wrexham did managed to get the ball up field a few times but neston kept attacking the Wrexham defence, but for Oscar making some excellent saves and great work from Keith and Olly but the best moment was a saving goal line clearance from Andy Williams again becoming a habit! Unfortunately it didn’t stop neston grabbing a couple of more before the break making it 4-0 half-time.
After a half-time team talk and swapping Charlie into midfield with Steve moving up front Wrexham started the half better moving the ball into young Freddie who had a lovely run down the left wing into the corner and laid it across Charlie who then pushed into Aaran who had a shot on goal for the GK to save well. The rebound fell to Simon whose shot was also saved by the GK. The best play of the game. But, like the first half, Neston kept pressing Wrexhams defence who held out only so far and conceded a number of shorts corners. One did slip through, Oscar got his pads on it but went through his legs making it 5-0 than another open play goal making it 6-0 that’s how it stayed until full-time.

MOTM is Oscar for all his outstanding saves again but credit goes to all the defence for an excellent effort.

DOTD is Dyfrig for his green card ?

Captains view it was a excellent effort considering the side we played we gave one home game left next week so let’s enjoy it and try to finish the season on a high like I said well done everyone ?????????
